PHILIP R LINDSAY - AFBPS, C.Psychol., CMITD

Philip R Lindsay has been an independent business psychologist since 1989. He is a founder and Senior Partner of his own independent international management and organisational development consultancy.

Before moving into consultancy, he held senior management development positions within a number of large international companies. In 1989, he was appointed Associate Professor in Management Development at the Ulster Business School, University of Ulster ~ a position he held until the beginning of 1996. In June 1998, he was appointed a Visiting Professor at the School of Management, London Guildhall University. He is also Subject Lead for Strategic Human Resource Management for the MBA degree offered by the Chartered Management Institute.

Philip’s experience over the years spans the full range of management and organisational development activities. Assignments in which he has taken a lead include design and implementation of assessment and development centres, propagation of a common management culture within organisations, development and implementation of personal effectiveness programmes, team building and feedback processes to support change development workshops, development of 360 degree initiatives and repositioning of an HR function. Philip holds Level A and B Statements of Competence in Occupational Testing and is qualified to use SHL OPQ 32, Saville Consulting WAVE, MBTI Step I and II, FIRO B and Apter Motivational Styles Profile and Apter Leadership Profile.

Philip has worked extensively with a variety of significant companies, consultancies and management organisations, including Saudi British Bank (SABB), Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, Deloitte, Motorola and Legal and General. He applies his research and consultancy experience to help employees and managers develop the distinctive processes and capabilities required for sustainable strategic success. His most recent assignments have been in support of the following initiatives: (a) supporting implementation of a major shift in HRD focus and operation through analysing and supporting development and change and (b) introducing processes to effectively identify and develop future leadership talent to meet changing business requirements/ambitions. His consultancy experience spans Western and Central Europe, USA, Canada, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. He has worked on consultancy assignments in Saudi Arabia since 2001.

He frequently presents papers at conferences and briefings.
